Service Doors – the “basic” roll-up doors suitable for many applications – are also available as Weather-Edge Doors with perimeter weather seals to reduce water and air infiltration, as Insulated Doors for maximum climate control, or as Ventilated Doors with perforated curtains for the ultimate blend of ventilation, visibility and security. High Performance Doors with standard or insulated slats are designed to operate for 500,000 cycles with operating speeds of 24 inches per second to open, 12 inches per second to close. They provide longer life as well as enhanced security and environmental control through faster operating speed and less open time. Counter Service Doors with more compact components and attractive designs can be provided for smaller size openings.  Gateway Series Doors provide code-compliant egress with fail-safe automatic opening upon alarm or loss of power, or a patented fail-secure function to keep door closed in a power outage but allow automatic opening upon alarm, emergency exit button, or secure access by emergency responders.

Fire Doors offer state-of-the-art fire protection with “Easy-Reset” or “Auto-Reset” chain, crank and motor operators that automatically close the door without a loss of spring tension and eliminate the need for traditional mechanical reset. Insulated Fire Doors combine fire protection properties with thermal insulation and sound control. Counter Fire Doors with more compact designs are available for smaller size openings and can be provided with a labeled Stainless Steel Countertop. Fire and counter fire doors can be rated up to 4-hours and are available with an S-Label as air leakage rated “Smoke Doors“. Lawrence fire door products are classified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), certified for Canada (c-UL), FM Approved, listed by the California State Fire Marshal (CSFM), and recognized by UAE Civil Defense.

Grilles provide for up to 83% open area to allow for maximum visibility and air circulation while also providing area protection. They can be designed for typical shopping mall and storefront installations as well as for higher usage applications such as parking structures. Standard Lawrence features include a self-leveling bottom bar and field-adjustable curtain stop and lock bar heights.  High Performance Grilles are designed to operate for 500,000 cycles with operating speeds of 24 inches per second to open, 12 inches per second to close. They are well suited for parking garages and other applications where traditional roll-up grilles do not adequately meet the need for very high frequency usage or the desire for higher speed operation. High Performance Tight-Coil Grilles combine high performance with a patent pending low headroom design that fits into as little as 12″ clearance.  Counter Grilles combine the compact design and finished appearance of a counter service door with the ventilation and visibility of a grille for service counters and small entry openings.  Gateway Series Grilles provide code-compliant egress with fail-safe automatic opening upon alarm or loss of power, or a patented fail-secure function to keep grille closed in a power outage but allow automatic opening upon alarm, emergency exit button, or secure access by emergency responders.

Rolling Closures offer grille features combined with the enhanced security of a closed-panel curtain construction.  Aluminum panels can be provided with Clear Glazing for visibility, or Solid when visibility is not wanted.

Side-Folding Grilles & Closures operate easily, stack compactly and need no headroom.  Requiring only a top track for mounting, they can slide straight or through curves.  They are available with Open Panels, Glazed Panels, Solid Panels, or a traditional Rod-and-Link style grille curtain.

Motor Operators provide the ultimate in efficiency and ease of operation. Lawrence motor operators combine a high efficiency in-line gear drive system with a compact low profile design that means no additional clearance above the top of the door coil is normally required. Most previously installed doors and grilles can also be converted to motor operation. Lawrence motor operators are UL Listed and are available with a variety of wiring and access control options and accessories.  NEMA 1 enclosures are standard but must models can be upgraded for applications requiring NEMA 4/12, 4X or 7/9 ratings.

Retrofit Fire Door Operators can be installed on most types and brands of existing roll-up fire doors to eliminate spring tension release and replace traditional operating and governor systems. When retrofitted, even older fire doors can be tested and reset easily, operating with the same reliability and extraordinary descent control characteristic of “Easy-Reset” and “Auto-Reset” fire door products. Retrofit chain, crank and motor operators are UL Labeled and FM Approved as Retrofit Rolling Steel Fire Door Operators.

Custom Door Products can be designed for many special applications, unique openings, unusual operating conditions and environments. Some examples of our custom design and manufacturing capabilities include past projects requiring doors for very large openings (up to 40 ft.), inverted operation (doors that roll down to open), unusual shaped openings (curved, inclined, horizontal, irregular shapes), and special environments (corrosives, elevated temperatures, motion & vibration).

Lawrence Doors produces OEM passenger boarding bridge parts such as roll-up doors and cab and rotunda curtains and barrels used on Jetway, DEW, Ameribridge and other brands.

Lawrence Doors manufactures custom nacelle roll-up doors for wind turbines.  These uniquely designed products with compound-curved tracks roll down to open and utilize a “floating” curtain system to accommodate wind driven motion of the nacelle structure.

Folding Gates – also known as scissor, accordion, expanding, or collapsible gates – are available in the rugged double-channel construction of the DC Series, the performance-designed economy of the EG Series, and the commonly seen “lazy tong” design of the LT Series. Most gates can be either single sliding or bi-parting, and can roll on floor casters or in tracks. DC and LT Series gates are available as Portable Gates that can be easily rolled into place for temporary use, and rolled away for storage when not needed. Gate Cabinets can be provided to secure and conceal the gates when not in use.

Chain Gates are fabricated from horizontal and vertical rows of interconnected chain links in a square pattern suspended from a top track. They are commonly used as easily operated collapsible sliding enclosures on truck trailers, as well as a less expensive alternative to provide access control for smaller openings on buildings.

Tarps can be manufactured as flat or fitted, from PVC coated nylon or “Rip-Stop” mesh materials, in a variety of colors. They can be custom made to include “D” rings, straps, vents, and more. Alternate materials and designs result in variations adaptable to Equipment Covers, fixed and portable Welding Screens, sliding and rolling Environmental Curtains, and other related products.
